Plasan's lightweight armor engineering department has unique expertise in the design and development of airborne armor solutions for both helicopters and fixed wing aircraft.

Crew survivability is the highest priority in the design of all our lightweight armor airborne solutions. We understand the value of this resource not only from the simple requirement to preserve lives but also from the vantage point of conserving highly trained aircrews.

Plasan has developed and fielded a lightweight armor "cockpit protection" solutions for aircraft that are expected to operate in the forward battle area. These airborne solutions are designed to ensure that flight crews and, in some cases, their passengers are provided a level of armor protection that will ensure their survival even if the aircraft becomes a combat casualty.

Plasan airborne armor solutions are designed with the following advantages:
